Cookeville Police arrested two people Tuesday after finding heroin during a drug surveillance at Days Inn. 47-year-old Donald Karper, Jr. of Livingston and 48-year-old Kristie Prowse of Cookeville were charged with controlled substance offenses. TAA Officials To Investigate Jackson County Plane Crash

Tennessee Aviation Association (TAA) officials will investigate a small plane crash that occurred in Jackson County. The crash occurred Tuesday when Florida pilot David Poirer was traveling to a Wisconsin plane show from Athens, Tennessee. A Cookeville man facing multiple counts of aggravated arson in White County will reappear in court July 23. 27-year-old Richard Hunger appeared before a judge at the White County Justice Center Tuesday where his case was continued.
