Biz Foundry Expanding to McMinnville, Sparta This Fall

The Biz Foundry will soon open two new locations in McMinnville and Sparta later this fall.

Founder and President Jeff Brown said the organization looks forward to helping more new entrepreneurs across the Upper Cumberland.

“Over the last couple of years, there’s been a lot of interested parties in us opening physical locations there and adding co-work locations in both Sparta and McMinnville,” Brown said. “So it’s been growing for about two or three years and we’ve finally grown to the point where we’re ready to launch.”

The Biz Foundry currently operates out of one office located at 114 North Cedar Avenue in Cookeville.

Brown said despite several delays over the past year, work continues to renovate the future Sparta location at 21 North Main Street.

“That one has been quite a story. We’re about a year behind in Sparta from initial locations we looked at, then we did actually end up purchasing the location there,” Brown said. “We’re shooting for probably early to mid-October to have the Sparta location open.”

As for the future McMinnville site, The Biz Foundry celebrated its future office space with the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce last Tuesday. Brown said the McMinnville office will not require as much work as the Sparta building.

“The base building has already been remodeled,” Brown said, “then we’re just looking at some interior walls and technology, those kinds of things. So our current goal on McMinnville is early September.”

Brown said The Biz Foundry appreciates the assistance from area chambers of commerce in expanding their operations.

“We just can’t overstate the support we’ve had from both the Sparta and McMinnville chambers,” Brown said. “Those people have all been extremely supportive and have helped us over the last couple years make this possible. It’s nice to have partners like that who really want us there.”

The Biz Foundry provides conference rooms, cworking spaces and private offices to startups and entrepreneurs across the Upper Cumberland. Floor plans for the McMinnville and Sparta locations can be found on The Biz Foundry’s website.
