This Week: Cumberland Considers Contract Amendment

Cumberland County Commissioners Monday will consider amending the contract between the state, Department of Mental Health, and the county. The contract provides payment for treatments ordered by the justice system for misdemeanor defendants.

The Fentress County Commission will vote Monday to purchase 30 bullet proof vests for the sheriff’s department. The estimated price tag is $36,000.

Putnam County’s Planning Committee will discuss the sale of the old fairgrounds property and 13 vehicles from the Sheriff’s Department. Additionally, the fiscal review committee will consider amendments to the general purpose school fund. The meeting will take place Monday 5:30 p.m. at the Cookeville Community Center.

The Warren County Board of Commissioners will meet over Zoom call Monday night to amend the General Fund. The amendment would transfer funding from the Jail to the Sheriff’s Department.

Tuesday, the McMinnville City Council will consider the second reading of a nonprofit ordinance, providing over $350,000 in funding. The council will meet at 7:00 p.m.

Jackson County School District officials will vote Tuesday to approve the second TSBA Policy second reading concerning a threat assessment team.

The Algood Municipal Planning Commission and UCDD will meet Thursday night to consider a subdivision plat on Mirandy Road.
