COVID, Weather Affect Pickett County Fishing Tournaments

Pickett County played host to two different fishing tournaments but the pandemic and weather created less than ideal results. The Renegade Fishing Tournment ran from October 19-24 and the FLW tournament ran from October 26-31. Dale Hollow Lake Fishing Tourney Brings 320 Participants

The Renegade Bass Fishing Tournament will bring some 320 participants and as many as 180 boats to Dale Hollow Lake starting Monday. Gray: The UC Is Not Handling COVID-19 Well

Local elections officials say they continue to need election day workers. Election administrators we spoke to said numerous workers have declined this year because of COVID. Putnam Expects Early Voting Trend to Continue

Putnam County is expecting a turnout of about 1,000 early voters a day when early voting starts on Wednesday. Elections Administrator Michele Honeycutt said last presidential election the county saw between 900 to 1,100 early voters a day, and expects that to continue.
