Dale Hollow Lake Passes Go Digital

Visitors to Dale Hollow Lake can now purchase annual and day passes for the 2021 season online.

Park Ranger Sondra Carmen said this is a part of a pilot program with the Army Corps of Engineers to increase convenience for patrons.

“More and more people are getting mobile with their phones, and they’re out and about realizing they need or want to do certain things last minute,” Carmen said. “So, with the Recreation One Stop Program, everyone can go to recreation.gov.”

Carmen said the online paper print out can be exchanged for a plastic hang tag within 14 days of purchase. Carmen said day passes can remain in paper form and be displayed at the time of arrival.

“They can purchase their annual Corps of Engineers Day Use Pass, which provides for launching, beach access,” Carmen said. “And in this test project at Obey River Day Use they can also can now acquire the five dollar day use entry fee, all online before they get there.”

Passes give access to recreation at Pleasant Grove, Obey River and Lilydale. The annual pass is honored at all Corps of Engineers recreation areas across the country. Carmen said passes can still be purchased in person at office locations.
