Cumberland Captain Said Team Has Fought Some 18 Fires Over The Last Day

A Cumberland County Fire Department Captain said his team has put out an estimated 18 fires in a 24-hour period. Captain Braeden Adams said most of the fires were caused by people burning leaves and brush. Cumberland Dual Enrollment And Work-Based Learning See Increase

The Cumberland County Schools have seen a big increase in the number of students participating in dual enrollment and work-based learning from last year. Be Aware: Increase In Accidents Involving Deer Across UC

Counties across the Upper Cumberland are seeing an increase in accidents involving deer. There were six accidents involving deer in the Fairfield Glade community in Cumberland County on Saturday. Selby Hired As First Cumberland Codes Director

Cumberland County Commissioners approved Joshua Selby as the county’s first Codes Director. Based on growth inside the county, commissioners decided earlier this year to create their own codes department. Previously, Crossville has handled projects in the county. Cumberland Household Hazardous Waste Collection To Be Held Saturday

Cumberland County will host a free household hazardous waste collection Saturday. The collection will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cumberland County Complex.
