A DeKalb County judge has delayed the sentencing hearing for a man convicted of attempting to kill his wife.
A jury found Andrew Billings guilty of attempted first-degree murder earlier this year. The trial revealed that Billings slit his wife’s throat after driving her to a remote location in April, 2017.
District Attorney Bryant Dunaway said Billings became motivated by the belief that his wife had snitched” on him in regards to pending drug charges.
During a court hearing Tuesday a judge rescheduled his sentencing date to February 21.
