Charles Murphy, Age 69, Of Cookeville, Tennessee, Passed Away On Sunday, September 23, 2018, At His Home. Mr. Murphy Was Born On January 16, 1949, In Monterey, Tennessee, To The Late Denton And Linnie Lucille Abston Murphy. Mr. Murphy Was A Crane Operator In The Steel Mill Industry In Portland, Oregon. He Was A United States Marine Vietnam War Veteran. He Is Survived By His Companion, Debra Reynolds Of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters And Brothers-In-Law, Patricia And Robert Hastings Of Spencer, TN, Betty And Charles Calahan Of Cookeville, TN. In Addition To His Parents, He Was Preceded In Death By His Wife, April Murphy; Son, Michael G. Murphy; And Brother, Michael L. Murphy. Inurnment Will Follow At A Later Date In The Mount Zion Park Cemetery In Beavercreek, Ohio.

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia M. Swallows Almonrode, age 82, of Livingston will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home. Mrs. Virginia passed from this life on Saturday evening, September 22, 2018 from the Overton County Health & Rehab. She was born May 10, 1936, in Overton County to the late Zora B. & Conway McDonald Swallows. Virginia attended the Memorial Baptist Church in Livingston. She loved collecting Antiques, gardening and listening to Country & Gospel Music.

Funeral services for Joyce Floyd, age 74 of Cookeville, will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Trinity Assembly Church located at 205 West Wall Street Cookeville, Tennessee 38506 with the Pastor Mike Campbell officiating. Joyce Floyd passed on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at her Residence. Born Sunday, October 24, 1943 in Elba, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Henry Booker Robertson and the late Lillian Hazel Galloway Robertson. She was a good wife of 42 years, best Mother to her 4 children, loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Crest Lawn Funeral Home and again on Tuesday September 25, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of service at Trinity Assembly Church. Graveside services for Mr. Richard Cooper, 57, of Gallatin, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro. He passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. He was born April 13, 1961, in Gainesboro, On February 18, 1989, he was married to Donna Cooper, who survives. He worked as a tire specialist. He was a musician, and loved to play and listen to music. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Webb and Elsie Petty; Cousin: Charlie Merritt; and Aunt: Linda Petty. Survivors include his Wife: Donna Cooper of Gallatin; 1 Son: Richard Cooper of Gallatin; 1 Daughter: Nichole Cooper of Gallatin; his Mother: Dorothy Reece and husband, James Reece; 4 Brothers: Eddie Cooper, Tony Cooper, Dan Cooper, and Chris Reece; and 2 Sisters: Dorris Williams and Sue Ray. The family will receive friends at the cemetery prior to the service.

Funeral services for Ms. Linda Michelle Dunham LaFever, age 48 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, September 27, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Frasier’s Chapel Cemetery. Michelle graduated from this life Sunday night September 23, 2018 at her residence after a brave battle with cancer. Michelle was born December 31, 1969 in Sparta to Sue Wilson Dunham and the late Edwin Ray “Buddy” Dunham. She worked as an agent for Cumberland Insurance for the last 15 years. She loved to travel and spending time with her children. Surviving family members include her son Zane (Rachel) LaFever; Daughter: Izzy Miller; Mother: Sue Dunham; Granddaughter: Audrie LaFever; Brother: Jimmy (Kim) Dunham; Fiance: Billy Gilbert; Aunts: Joyce (Danny) Kirby, Mary (Carl) Sparks, Kathy (David) Guy, Faye (Creston) Massey, Jane (Jack) Lieb; Uncles: Bobby (Diana) Wilson, Roger (Melinda) Wilson, James (Jennifer) Wilson, Junior (Connie) Dunham; Many beloved cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home.

Memorial services for Willene Judd Reed, 89, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Daughrity and Horace Burks officiating. Inurnment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Mrs. Reed passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at her home. She was born Saturday, October 13, 1928 in Cookeville, TN to the late Walter Carr and Inda Judd. Mrs. Reed spent part of her life in Roseville, MI where she was a homemaker. She attended Sycamore and Zion Church of Christ. Willene loved taking care of her family and spending time with them and her friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Reed and a brother, Walter Judd. Willene is survived by son, Rick Reed and wife Pam of Cookeville; daughter, Sharon Lee and husband Francis of Lebanon, TN; four grandchildren, Tiffany Reed of Chattanooga, Will Reed of Cookeville, Jacob (Kayla) Lee of Lebanon and Josh (Kelly) Lee of Ramsey, NJ; six great grandchildren; brother in law, Tom Reed and wife Carolyn of Arizona. The family will receive friends Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family request memorial contributions be made to Sycamore Church of Christ for their SOC college group, 1144 Crescent Dr. Cookeville, TN 38501.
