Red Boiling Springs Man Indicted On Murder And Animal Cruelty Charges

A Red Boiling Springs man was arrested Friday charged with killing his wife and family dogs.

Tracy Chestnut and four dogs were found deceased in her home on August 10th. A TBI investigation found 55-year-old Joseph Chestnut responsible. He was indicted Thursday on one count of First Degree Murder and four counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.

Chestnut was booked into the Macon County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
