After about four hours without water this morning, Monterey workers have restored services.
Water Treatment Plant Supervisor Duane Jarrett said a 12-inch water line needed repairs after being struck by Volunteer Electric Cooperative workers. The main line in the northern portion of the town served the majority of customers.
Jarrett said the nature of the leak may cause water discoloration for some. Jarrett said if that is case, call city hall for the department to flush your line. That number is (931) 839-3770.
