Monterey Man Transported To CRMC After Striking Rock Embankment

A Monterey man was transported to Cookeville Regional after an accident on I-40 Thursday.

According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 63 year-old Randell Bale was travelling east on I-40 in the right hand lane. The left rear tire blew out causing his 1997 Ford Ranger to travel off the roadway, striking a rock embankment.

After the impact, Bale’s vehicle rolled over and stopped while overturned on its driver’s side, off the right side of the roadway. Bale was transported to CRMC for minor injuries.
