Crossville Police Asking For Help Locating 39 Year Old William Kilgore

Crossville Police seeking help to locate 39 year old William Kilgore missing since Thursday, August 17 when he walked away from the Cumberland County Jail.

Detective Jon Tollett said Kilgore had never been arrested prior to last week when he became combative at a DMV office. Tollet said the family was very concerned.

“This is very uncharacteristic of him,” Tollett said.  “I’ve spoken to the family probably five or six times a day for the last two or three days and this is really uncharacteristic for him.”

Tollet said Kilgore  is five foot ten, 155 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He has no tattoos and is wearing glasses.

Tollett said Kilgore lived with his family in Morgan County. He said the family did not know if there were any physical or mental issues related to what they said was unusual behavior.

“He has no phone, he has no vehicle,” Tollett said. “He’s pretty much isolated, you may say. We just don’t know a whole lot about him. He has no associates in Cumberland County, no friends that he called to pick him up when he got out of jail. We really have no leads to go on.”

Tollett said there was nothing about Kilgore that stood out in jail. He said Kilgore did not request to see a nurse or anybody else.

“He took off by foot we assume to return home,” Kilgore said. “We don’t really know what his intentions were.”

Kilgore said the police department is relying on sightings to locate Kilgore . Tollett said if anyone has information and is uncomfortable calling the station they can call (931) 200-1173 to leave anonymous information. Otherwise please call Detective John Tollett at the Crossville Police Department (931) 484-7231.
