Cookeville Daycare Temp Closed By State Department

A Cookeville Daycare Center temporarily closed this week due to noncompliance with licensing rules.

According to the State Department of Human Services, Bright Ideas Enrichment Center had inadequate classroom ratios, supervision and safety issues noted within the facility.

A state Child Care licensing team has issued a closure safety plan to the daycare.

“The Department is engaged in an ongoing review of this agency based on the areas of noncompliance and will determine if additional actions are needed,” the State Department said in a statement
