Warren Co. Commission Rejects 19-Cent Tax Increase

The Warren County Commission has rejected a proposal for a hefty tax increase. Monday night the commission rejected the 19-cent tax increase by a 19-5 vote. Fentress Co. Man Sentenced To Eight Years For Sex Crimes

A judge handed down an eight year prison sentence to a Fentress County man charged with numerous sex crimes against a minor. An investigation by the Fentress County Sheriff’s Department led to the arrest of 33-year-old Arias Angeles. Cookeville Man Charged With Attempted First-Degree Murder

Putnam County authorities have charged a Cookeville man with attempted first-degree murder. 18-year-old Austin B. Peat is under a $1,030,000 bond at the Putnam County Jail. Two DeKalb County inmates will face more charges after engaging in a fight that left a correctional officer injured.
