The Upper Cumberland Electic and TVA planned a power outage for Saturday through Sunday. The power disconnection will affect users in Gainesboro, North Springs, Jennings Creek Highway, Gladdice Highway, York Highway, Roaring River Road and Celina Highway. A horse suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Cumberland County Thursday. The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 70 North. The White County Board of Education has voted 4-2 to close Central View Elementary School. Cookeville Police Have First Reported Save With EpiPen Program

The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation recently had it’s first reported save with its EpiPen program. Charles Womack helped start the program.
