Motorcyclist Injured In DeKalb County Crash

A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries Friday morning when the bike struck the side of a car on Highway 70 East in DeKalb County. 40-year-old Jimmy McCord received treatment for minor injuries at Saint Thomas Dekalb Hospital. Cookeville Police arrested a man in connection with a vehicle break-in thanks to multiple tips from the public. Samuel Smith, 55, was arrested in White County and is being held at the Putnam County Jail on $30,000 bond. Cookeville City Council approved a $1.3 million sewer rehabilitation project during Thursday’s meeting.
