A juvenile suspect has been taken into custody by Cookeville Police after a Friday shooting at Cookeville’s West End Park. The name of the suspect is being withheld, according to Cookeville Police Spokesperson Anthony Leonard. 18-year-old Demarcus Hughes of Cookeville died as a result of the shooting Friday. Rolling Roadblocks In Cumberland County On I-40 Sunday Morning

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced four rolling road blocks along I-40 in Cumberland County Sunday. One juvenile killed in a Friday afternoon shooting at Cookeville’s West End Park. Cookeville Police responded around 4:05pm Friday afternoon to the park located just west of Willow Avenue. Police found two juveniles with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Cookeville Regional, where one was pronounced dead.
