The Cumberland County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fire that took place at a work site Monday. A burnt excavator valued at $100,000 was found by an employee at the site.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a potential arson case at a work site near the Plateau Partnership Park. John Anderson of J.D. 11-year-old Harley Evans was a student at Hermitage Springs Elementary School in Clay County. Evans was killed after being shot at her home early Monday morning.
