Celina Man Dies After Collision with Garbage Truck

A Celina man died Friday morning following a head-on collision with a garbage truck in Clay County. An unloaded handgun was found in a Cumberland County High School student’s vehicle Friday. Director of Schools Janet Graham reports school administrators were conducting a search of the student’s vehicle at the time the gun was discovered. Smithville Woman Killed In Thursday Night Crash

A Thursday night crash in DeKalb County claimed the life of a 28-year-old Smithville woman. The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the deceased as Amanda L. Smith. Smithville Man Charged With Child Rape

A 23-year-old Smithville man will appear in court next month after reportedly raping a 12-year-old girl. Smithville Police arrested Ruben Aluvez Mejia last week on one count of child rape.
