Council to Consider Design Contract For Water Plant Project

The Cookeville City Council will meet Thursday to consider approving a design contract for a rehab project at the water department. Man Charged In Fatal Cumberland County Crash

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has charged a Crossville man with vehicular homicide by intoxication following a crash that killed a woman in Cumberland County Saturday. Officials said Jamie D. PCFD Investigating Monday Fire on Gibbons Road

No one was injured after a fire destroyed a home on Gibbons Road near Cookeville Monday.

A Monday morning fire on Gibbons Road near Cookeville is under investigation. Putnam County Fire Chief Tom Brown says crews were called to the residence around 3 a.m. to fight the blaze. “There was one occupant at home at the time. Traffic Stop Leads to Drug-Arrest of Rickman Man

A routine traffic stop led to the drug-related arrest of a Rickman man Saturday. Putnam County authorities charged 33-year-old Joe Murphy with criminal impersonation and possession of methamphetamine. Officials first made contact with Murphy near 6070 Dodson Branch Highway.
