COVID-19 Cases Up To 46 Across UC

The number of Upper Cumberland COVID-19 cases rose to 46 Tuesday, according to the Tennessee Department Of Health. Putnam County has 24 confirmed cases. Cumberland County has 11. Polochak’s Appeal Denied By State Supreme Court

The State Supreme Court has denied the appeal of Kalyn Polochak, convicted in 2010 by the Overton County Criminal Court for murder. Attorneys argued that Polochak’s sixth amendment rights were violated. A statement by her-then boyfriend, Benjamin Bowers, was admitted in the trial. 10-Hour WCTE Home Learning Program Begins Monday

WCTE will expand its service to at-home students beginning Monday with a 10-hour program day dedicated to learning. Originally set to begin as a two-hour daytime block, WCTE will now air at-home learning from 6am-4pm weekdays. Volunteer Energy reduced the number of Cumberland County residents without power to under 600 Monday night. The 593 outages are centered right along the White County line. National Weather Service meteorologists found straight-line wind damage in excess of 90-95mph through White County during its assessment Monday.
