I-40/Highway 111 Signal Delayed Until 2019

A traffic signal for the I-40/Highway 111 interchange won’t happen until at least 2019. TDOT spokesman Jennifer Flynn said the estimated date to open bids for the project is now May 2019. Planned Power Outage For Fairfield Glade Friday

Residents of Cumberland County’s Fairfield Glade will have another planned power outage Friday evening. Crossville Reaps Benefits Of Wastewater Expansion

A new study shows the City of Crossville’s wastewater expansion helped bring 685 jobs to the city in nine years. The city accepted a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce in 2008. Pickett Employee, Volunteer Fired After DUIs In Same Week

Pickett County Executive Richard Daniel said a county employee and a volunteer fireman were fired after they were caught driving under the influence on duty. Putnam Chamber, White County Library Out Of Eclipse Glasses

It’s getting harder to find eclipse glasses in the Upper Cumberland. The White County Public Library gave away 3,000 glasses to members in less than two days. The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce has sold out. Knoxville Couple Identified In DeKalb Drowning

The THP released the identities of a couple found in a DeKalb County lake Monday. THP Lt. Jimmy Neal said Lendon Welch, 84, and his wife Charlotte, 83, had drowned when EMS arrived on scene. A total of 10 Upper Cumberland arts groups were awarded Arts Build Communities grants. Groups applied for money to make events and project easier.
