DeKalb Commissioners Pass 29-Cent Property Tax Increase

DeKalb County Commissioners voted Monday to implement a 29-cent property tax increase. According to County Executive Tim Stribling, the increase brings the total tax rate to about $2.12. Man Arrested Friday After Baxter Shooting Incident

A Baxter man faces charges following a shooting incident on Highland Avenue Friday. Baxter Police report Bob Goodwin was arrested after he allegedly threatened his caretaker with a shotgun.
