Man Arrested On Meth, Firearm Charges In Algood

An Algood traffic stop led to the arrest of a Cookeville man on meth and firearm charges Friday. 38-year-old Daniel Armstrong faces charges after initially being pulled over for a window tint violation. Algood Police Make Heroin Arrests Friday

Algood Police officers made two heroin arrests during separate incidents Friday. The first incident occurred when authorities arrested Jonathon Clark and Derrick Griffin at Speedway. Officers observed Clark inside the store who appeared to be intoxicated. Clark admitted to police he drove to the gas station on a revoked license. The Cookeville Police Department (CPD) has begun accepting bids for pre-construction services for its new headquarters. CPD requires general contractors to submit bids by the Aug. 1 deadline.
