No Issues Found In Upper Cumberland Regional Airport Audit

An independent auditor has found no issues in the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport’s annual audit report.

Airport Manager Dean Selby said the clean report gives him confidence the airport is being operated properly.

“Being a government entity, we have to have an annual audit of our financials, and the audit report was clean. They had no findings,” Selby said. “That’s good. Tat’s what you want to see is a clean opinion and that’s what we got. It makes me feel good to know we were complying with all the government accounting practices, so that’s a good thing.”

Selby and the airport’s board of directors were presented the audit report during last Tuesday’s monthly meeting.

“The rest of the report goes over what we’ve actually done and what’s reported on a monthly basis,” Selby said. “All he does is audit all of that to make sure the money went where it said it went, and everything is applied correctly. What you want to see is the opinion to say it’s a clean audit and there was no findings of anything of consequence, and that’s what we got.”

The audit report was conducted by CPA Buddy Dicus, out of Sparta.
