Former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean is the winner of the democratic primary race for governor of Tennessee. The race was called with only two percent of votes received from across the state. Bredesen Wins Democratic Senate Primary

Democratic-favorite Phil Bredesen is declared the winner of the democratic primary race for U.S. Senator. With one percent of votes counted, Bredesen received over 95 percent of all votes across Tennessee, defeating Gary Davis and John Wolfe.
