Man Killed in Monterey Motorcycle Crash

A Crossville man died in a motorcycle accident in Monterey early Sunday morning. Council Approves First Reading of Mackie Farm Rezoning

Cookeville City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance rezoning the annexed Mackie Farm during Thursday’s meeting. Councilman Jim Woodford motioned to exclude a cluster of properties along Salem Road from being rezoned for commercial-industrial use. Ricky Shelton Re-Elected as Cookeville Mayor

Cookeville Mayor Ricky Shelton was re-elected Thursday in the City Council election. Shelton received roughly 20 percent of the votes, with Laurin Wheaton finishing second.
