291 cases came off the Putnam County’s active COVID case tally Thursday afternoon. The State Department of Health discovered multiple issues with the COVID data. Two COVID Patients Die At CRMC

Two more positive COVID patients died at Cookeville Regional overnight Thursday. One patient who died is from Cumberland County, the other from Jackson County. Resurfacing Resumes On State Route 294

Resurfacing set to resume Thursday on State Route 294 through Overton and Clay County. Motorists should expect lane closures between Oakley Allons Road in Overton County and Willow Grove Road in Clay County. Flaggers will be in place and motorists should use caution. Arrest Made In Jackson Co Arson, Theft

A Murfreesboro man arrested Sunday on arson and vandalism chargers after an investigation by Jackson County Sheriffs Deputies and the TBI. 39-year old Kevin Dyer faces two counts of burning personal property, one count of vandalism over $250,000, one count of vandalism from $2,500 to $10,000, and two counts of theft over $1,000. Fentress Commissioners Approve Two Road Dept Projects

The Fentress County Commissioners approved the county road department to complete two projects for others government entities. A Spencer long-term care facility is dealing with a cluster of 13 COVID cases. Generations Center of Spencer reports six positive COVID cases among its residents. Cookeville Council To Consider UCHRA Agreement Thursday

Cookeville City Council will consider an agreement with UCHRA to provide social work assistance for those in need. City Manager James Mills said he proposed a five-month pilot program through UCHRA’s Substance Abuse Solutions Program.
