The City of Cookeville will be moving its bank accounts to First Bank. Cookeville City Council approved a four-year agreement Thursday night to change its banking partner from Regions Bank. Three UC Counties With Higher Unemployment

While unemployment dropped in 90 of the state’s counties in February, three Upper Cumberland counties saw slight increases. The Department of Labor and Workforce Development reported increases in Dekalb, Overton and White Counties. Smith County’s unemployment remained unchanged. Dekalb Co Man Arrested On Rape Of Child

A Dekalb County man arrested Thursday on charges he raped a child. 45-year old David Wayne Nichols faces two counts of rape of a child, one count of aggravated sexual battery. Trousdale Man Arrested In Jackson Co On Murder Charges

A Trousdale County man faces criminal homicide charges and attempted first degree murder charges after being arrested in Jackson County Monday night. 53-year-old Todd Lee Freeman allegedly attacked three people at a Trousdale County home on Riverview Estates Lane.
