Putnam County’s EMS has seen a 7 percent increase in calls over the last year. Putnam Co Commissioners Approve Architect Drawings For Expansion Jail

Architects will begin final work on drawings for the Putnam County Jail. County commissioners approved up to $250,000 in architectural work Monday night. CRMC Finance Committee Approves New Year Budget

Cookeville Regional Medical Center will propose a 4% percent increase in operating expenses for the new fiscal year. The total expenses are projected at roughly $321 million, according to CFO Tommye Wells’ presentation to the finance committee Tuesday. Putnam County Approves 9% Increase In Health Insurance

Putnam County will pay about nine percent more for employee health, dental and vision insurance. Mayor Randy Porter said that’s better than where the county started. Cookeville Man Indicted with Extortion and Harassment of Judge and Attorneys

An investigation conducted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment of  Cookeville man Tyler Dakota Matthews. Matthews was accused of writing letters threatening to harm a Sevier County judge, an assistant public defender, and an assistant district attorney.
