Celebration of Christian Education Day Event on Saturday

Upper Cumberland Christian Academy and the Dale Hollow Homeschool Group are coming together to showcase the benefits of a Christian education and how people can implement it in the lives of their students.

Principal of Upper Cumberland Christian Academy Scott Sittloh said the event is a fun celebration filled with food and games, that also provides families information about options to educate their children with a Christian influence.

“It’s super important to a lot of people that it’s just their right to pick the curriculum that their kids are learning and how that curriculum can be applied, so that kids get a high standard education with Christian focus,” said Sittloh.

Sittloh said they wanted to support those interested in Christian education for their families and their students.

“We wanted to be a support system for people that see the importance of Christian education in our community and help them be able to implement that for their students, their family, extended family or friends,” said Sittloh.

Sittloh said he hopes the event sheds light on the many options available for education with a Christian influence.

“Don’t assume that it’s too hard to do yourself at homeschool, or that you have to have a lot of money to be able to put your kids in private school. So look into things, and get your questions answered.”

The event is Saturday, May 1st at the Central Park in Livingston. Check UCCA’s Facebook page for more details.
