Algood Police investigating an alleged kidnapping and armed robbery at the Algood Manor Thursday night.
It happened around 11:45pm. The victim was released soon after along Highway 111 at the 10th Street ramp.
Police said it was not a random act, but apparently a specifically targeted event. Witnesses told police several men forced the victim into a vehicle at gunpoint. As police investigated, they found a home invasion and armed robbery had occurred prior to the kidnapping.
Police continue their investigation.
