A Strawberry Plains woman faces charges following a crash on Interstate 40 in Cookeville.
Tennessee Highway Patrol State Troopers charged Edyth Grace Stallings with DUI. The accident happened Thursday at the 286 mile marker of Interstate 40 eastbound.
The Trooper said he responded to the scene and noticed an alcoholic odor coming from the defendant. He also noted a strong smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the car revealed 1.3 grams of pot in a cigarette pack.
An arrest report said Stallings showed signs of impairment during a series of field sobriety test. The State Trooper arrested Stallings and transported her to the Putnam County Jail.
