Wisconsin Runaway Juvenile Located In Monterey

Monterey Police located a runaway juvenile from Wisconsin Saturday night.

Department officials said officers located the 13-year-old just before midnight near the wood line behind the Monterey Library.

A press release said officers began searching for the girl after receiving a BOLO (Be On Lookout) for a juvenile runaway from Wisconsin. While checking a residence, officers discovered that they had just missed the juvenile leaving on foot with another male.

Officers began covering the area and eventually located the girl. Officers transported the juvenile to the Putnam County Juvenile Detention Center.

Wisconsin, Rapids-based Rapid Search and Rescue Corps released a Facebook flier for the runaway juvenile last week. The flier said the girl left her Stratford, Wisconsin home on Thursday after getting into a car with Tennessee license plates.
