White Co School Board Outlines Agenda For Upcoming Year

Assessing facility needs will be a focus for the White County School Board leading up to its next meeting.

The item is a part of the school board’s annual agenda that was approved Tuesday night. School Board Chair Bob Young said the agenda provides a list of items for each month of the fiscal year for the school board to consider.

“So that way we can have as a board something on paper to give us some guidance making sure we are on track,” Young said. “And also, giving the board members time to prepare for those items when they come up.”

Young said Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger would present the findings of facility needs at the October meeting.

Young said for November, board members will review insurance carriers and district physicians. Young said school support organizations, budget preparations and preparing the school calendar are other items to be reviewed next calendar year.

Young said the annual agenda ends with a recognition of achievements by students and faculty. Young said it is school board policy to create an annual agenda for each school year.
