Funeral services for Charles “Chuck’ Michael Shanks, 67 of Baxter, will be Thursday, September 3 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with Dr. Jim McAfee officiating. Interment with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard will be in Smellage Memory Gardens in The Boma Community. He was a driller in the construction industryHe was a Army veteran in the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his Mother, Margie Allen Shanks, his Daughter, Tammy Shanks and his Son, Charles Todd Shanks. The family will receive friends Thursday after 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Linda Jean Dailey, 75, of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. She passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 13, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Arthur Hamlet and Elizabeth Allen Hamlet. On June 8, 1963, she was married to the late Joe Frank Dailey, who passed away August 17, 2020. She was a factory worker and homemaker, and associated with the Cummins Mill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
Graveside services and interment for Jeffery Lynn Hunter, age 38 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday September 4 at Algood City Cemetery. Pastor Mark Gaw will officiate. Jeffrey passed away suddenly Saturday August 30, 2020 at his home. Jeffrey graduated from Cookeville High School in 2001. He formerly worked in food service at Tennessee Tech University. He attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Scottie and Brandon Hunter both of Cookeville.
Funeral Service for Thomas “Tom” “Fox” Milton Fowler, 85 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating. Entombment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery – Mausoleums. Mr. Fowler passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, at his home. He is survived by, his wife of almost 63 years, Elsie Fowler, children, Marcia Gibson, Jeff and Dorothy Fowler, Tommy and Tina Fowler, and Steve Bryant. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again, Friday, September 4, 2020 from 11:00 am until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
A memorial service for Mrs. Patricia Ann McClellan Sherrell, age 78 of Sparta, will be held 11:15 am Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Sparta First Presbyterian Church. Rev. David Eisenmengar will officiate. She passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Life Center of Sparta.
