Obituaries For Wednesday, March 20

Funeral services for Ms. Gearldean Gentry, age 80 of Livingston, will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11 AM with burial to follow in the Beaty Cemetery located in Monroe, Overton Co., TN. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. Officiating the service will be Bro. John Mabrey. She passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Ms. Gearldean Gentry was born in Monroe, Overton Co., TN on February 1, 1939 to the late Willie Winsted and Ina (Fowler) Cooper. Gearldean will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services for Cora McBride, age 87, of Cookeville will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21st from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Buckner officiating. Interment will follow at West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls Community. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20th from 5-7 at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Cora passed away March 17, 2019 at her home. She was born December 12, 1931 in Baxter TN to the late Alvin C. Medlin and Viola Hickey Medlin. Cora was family oriented and married for 64 years to her husband, Keith McBride, who survives her. She attended Taylor’s Seminary Free Will Baptist Church Cookeville.

Graveside service and interment for David Lee Hood, age 76 of Cookeville, will be held at 12 p.m. on March 21, 2019 at Brotherton Cemetery with Bro. Mike Adams. David died Monday March 18, 2019 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1942 in Cookeville. David worked as a truck driver prior to his retirement. He was an avid reader of westerns and a member of Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are children, Lecia (Stan) Gantt of Bloomington Springs; Paula (Greg) Livingston of Rickman; Glenda (Billy) Hunter of Cookeville; David Jared (Leona) of Smithville; and his special “son”, Max (his yorkie dog). 8 grandchildren, Lindsay (Steve) Null, Megan Knight, Brandon Nabors, Andrew Gantt, Jamie Hunter, Tonya Portilla, Jerry Jared and Trey Jared; and 13 great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hood (d. 9/2/2011) and granddaughter, Amber Jared. The family will visit with friends at the graveside from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral Services For Willodean Vaughn, Age 79, Of Gainesboro, And Formerly Of The Hanging Limb Community, Will Be Conducted On Thursday, March 21, 2019, At 12:30 PM At The Hanging Limb Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Greg Jenkins And Bro. Jimmy Stafford Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The George M. Phillips Cemetery. Ms. Vaughn Was Born On May 8, 1939, In Crawford, To The Late Walter And Hilda Todd Vaughn. Ms. Vaughn Passed Away On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Ms. Vaughn Was A Caregiver And Nanny All Of Her Life. She Is Survived By, 2 Sisters And Brothers-In-Law, Lurline And Robert Judd Of Crawford, Cathy And Joe Gebbia Of Cookeville; And Many Nieces And Nephews Including, Sheila Winningham, Danny Cobble, Junior Cobble, Valerie Raiford, Lisa Bowman, Bobbie Cook, Debbie Thomas, Amanda Cook, Tammy Stafford, Sherry Sircy, Jason Bowman, Jill Stafford, Tara Stephens, Chelsey Gebbia, Summer Gebbia, Selena Gebbia, Savanna Jayde Gebbia, Anthony Mason Gebbia, Angela Hall, Stephanie Jenkins, Teresa Vaughn Oneal, Gloria Holmes, Etheline Rich, Mackie Reed, Tim Reed, And The Late Terry Reed And Ricky Newel Bowman. Special (Her Babies), Cindy Holmes And Son, Braxton Holmes, Sabrina Harris And Her Children, Tyler, Coleton, Bryson Harris And Lydia Hargis, J.R. Holmes And Son, Hudson Holmes. Funeral services for Deborah Bohannon Sicola of Memphis, previously of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, March 21, 2018 at Sparta First United Methodist Church with burial in Highland Cemetery. Debbie passed away suddenly on March 14, 2019, after a short hospitalization. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, R.E. Bohannon of Sparta; aunts and uncles, including Rascoe and Ann Cooper; Robert Bohannon; Jane Thompson Bohannon; Betty Bohannon; Elmer and Jean Powell; Barnett and Ellen Powell; Hollis and Elizabeth Powell Sapp; Paul and Thelma Powell; James and Elsie Powell Rackley; Gordon and Juanita Powell Austin; Jess Ray; James Powell; her grandparents of the Dunn, Powell, Broome, and Bohannon families; and several of her dear cousins. She is survived by her mother Billie Powell Bohannon; her aunts and uncles W.C. Bohannon; Lloyd and Linda Bohannon Smith; Howell and Ruth Powell Glover; and Ann Powell Ray; her childhood friend Kathy Austin and many loving cousins; her husband John; her in-laws Tony and Virginia Sicola of Amarillo, Texas, and their son Alexander, and Mary Sicola Kelly and Gary Kelly of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; her daughter and son-in-law Mario and Kate Sicola Vasquez and their children Aria and Lane; and her daughter and son-in-law David and Margaret Sicola Soard and their son Declan. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time Thursday at the church. Mr. Boronda Was Born On June 24, 1985, In Crossville, To Janella Melton Of Monterey, And Calvin Boronda Of Cookeville. Mr. Boronda Passed Away On Monday, March 18, 2019, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Boronda Was A Laborer. In Addition To His Parents, He Is Survived By His Wife, Samantha Boronda Of Monterey; Maternal Grandparents, Haskell And Shirley Melton Of Monterey; Father-In-Law And Mother-In-Law, Billy And Donna Baker Of The Hanging Limb Community. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Thursday, March 21, 2019, From 5:00 PM Until The Time Of Services At 7:00 PM And At The Stamps Cemetery On Friday, March 22, 2019, Immediately Following The Services. Celebration of Life service for James Edward Qualls, 89 of Baxter will be Friday, March 22 at 2 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mr. Qualls died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his home. He was born June 10, 1929 in Cisco, Georgia to the late Sam and Mamie Wells Qualls. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Ben, Bob and Charles Qualls. He was a retired materials handler with McCords of Cookeville. He also did masonry work throughout the Upper Cumberland area. He enjoyed working in his garden and hunting. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include wife of 59 years ( Married February 2, 1960 in Chattsworth, GA) Jewell Harville Qualls of Baxter, daughters and sons-in-law Sonja and Dan Dickson of Cookeville, Sharman and Todd Farris of Baxter, sons and daughters-in-law James and Marilyn Qualls of Baxter, Taylor and Tonya Qualls of Cookeville, grandchildren: Britnee and Tim Farestad, Justin and Chelsea Qualls, Coty Gardner and fiancee Lauren, Joshua and Brianna Qualls, Tyler Qualls, great-grandchildren: B.J. and Landon Farestad, Noah and Titan Qualls and Layla Gardner. Family will receive friends Thursday from 3 to 8 PM and after 9 AM Friday at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Maudie Karen (Dedmon) Buchanan, age 60 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, March 23,2019 beginning at 11:00 AM at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with interment to follow. Karen passed from this life Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at her home in Cookeville. She was born Sunday, July 20, 1958 in Cookeville she was the daughter of the late Douglas Dedmon and Mary Williams Wallace. Karen was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was a foster parent to several children over the years, and a member of Midway Baptist Church. In addition to her Mother, she is survived by her husband of 42 years, James “Jim” Buchanan of Cookeville. 1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Angel and David Wiley of Hayden, AL; 1 Son: Charles E. Buchanan of Cookeville; 1 Stepdaughter: Elizabeth Thornton of Cookeville; 2 Grandchildren: Ulrich Wiley of Hayden, AL, Thatcher Wiley of Hayden, AL; 1 Brother: John Dedmon of Cookeville; Adopted Sister and Brother: Kylie Wallace of Cookeville, Devin Wallace of Japan. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her Stepfather: Talmadge Wallace. The family will receive friends after the service at Midway Baptist Church on Old Kentucky Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Midway Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Frank Anderson, age 96 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Cookeville First Presbyterian Church. Interment with military honors will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. His family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Mr. Anderson passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Gary Levon Seibers, age 67 of Quebeck, will be held from 10am until 2pm on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Quebeck Community Center. Gary passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at NHC in Sparta. He was born November 5, 1951 in Sparta. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lee and Mable Bernice Hutson Seibers; sisters, Etta Ruth Seibers Dailey and Linda Frank Seibers Smart. He is survived by: Sons- Gary Levon Seibers Jr. (Bobbie) of Sparta, Steven Seibers of Sparta, Jamie Seibers of Sparta; Several granchildren also survive; Brothers- Harold Seibers of Quebeck, Carl Seibers of Sparta, Jerry Seibers (Betty) of Walling, Dwight Seibers (Helen) of Quebeck, Troy Seibers of Quebeck; Sisters- Joyce Matheney of Sparta, Anna Seibers of Livingston, Rhonda Seibers of Quebeck. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
