Obituaries For Tuesday, July 9

Visitation for Mrs. Janie C. Ames age 65 of Rickman formally of Southfield, Michigan, will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 4 PM to 9 PM in the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Officiating will be Bro. Jimmy-John Hall. The family has chosen cremation. She passed away at her residence on Friday, July 5, 2019. Mrs. Janie C. Ames was born on September 7, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Roy and Wilma Hall.

Funeral services for Barbara Sue Perras, age 77, of Cookeville will be held at 6:00pm, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Rev. TJ Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Baxter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00pm until the time of services at the funeral home. Mrs. Perras passed away Sunday, July 7th, 2019 at her home. She was born on November 1, 1941 in Kentucky to the late Dillard and Vergie Holbrook Slone. Barbara Sue spent a majority of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Baxter United Methodist Church. She was a Navy wife to both of her late husbands and was a member of the C.P.O.. Wives Club.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Ann Gentry, 76, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 6 P.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville, TN. Burial will be on Friday at 2 P.M. in the Long Branch Cemetery in the Roaring River community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019, at her residence. She was born October 20, 1942, in Mayfield, KY, to the late Ernest Roscoe Goodwin and Martha Jerline Goodwin. On December 19, 1959, she was married to James Gentry, who survives. She was a registered nurse, and a member of the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ.

Celebration of Life for Linda Louise (Ganson) Moore, 71 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Linda passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Linda was born Thursday, July 17, 1947, in Springfield, Ohio and she was the daughter of the late James Elias and Virginia (Worix) Ganson. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Linda is survived by: 2 Sons: Richard and Charity Moore, James Moore; 6 Grandchildren; Sister: Carol Blair. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by Daughter, Sandra Moore; Sister, Brenda Bingham, and Brother, Eugene “Buck” Ganson. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
