Mr. Robert Scott McDonald, age 47 of Livingston, passed from this life on Thursday morning, October 24, 2019, from Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Funeral Services For Rev. Hoyt D. Looper, Age 83, Of Monterey, Will Be Conducted On Friday, October 25, 2019, At 11:00 AM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Allen, Rev. Junior Gardner, And Rev. Harlon Thompson Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The Looper Cemetery. Rev. Looper Was Born On May 3, 1936, In Overton County, To The Late Joe Sire Looper And Leva Mae Phipps Looper Holman. Rev. Looper Passed Away On Monday, October 21, 2019, At His Home From Declining Health. He Was Retired From Avco/Textron Corporation In Nashville Where He Helped To Construct Airplane Wings. He Was A Minister For 61 Years And Was Ordained On October 8, 1960, By The Eastern Division Of The Stone Association Freewill Baptist Church And Continued To Preach And Share The Gospel Until The Decline In His Health. During Those 61 Years, He Pastored Several Churches Including Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist, Livingston Freewill Baptist, Crossroads Freewill Baptist, Tyler Point Freewill Baptist, Fairview Freewill Baptist, Monterey 2nd Freewill Baptist, Midway Freewill Baptist, Banner Springs Freewill Baptist And Having Pastored Some Of These Twice. He Helped Build The Eastern Division Headquarters Building In Monterey. He Was A Member Of Midway Freewill Baptist Church And A 50 Year Member Of Monterey Masonic Lodge #751. He Was A Loving Pastor, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather And Friend To All Who Knew Him. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Thursday, October 24, 2019, From 4:00 PM Until 8:00 PM.

Funeral services for Ms. Brenda C. Pemberton, age 73 of Livingston, will be held Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11 AM in the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery in Allons. She passed away at the Livingston Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Ms.Pemberton was born in Mauncie, IN to the late Charlie Reeder and Bowza (Sells) Reeder on September 9, 1946. She will be greatly missed by many. Survivors: 2 Daughters: Sherry Brown, Charlotte Whited; 1 Brother: Michael Reeder and wife Sandy; 2 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; A host of family and friends also survive. Preceded in death: In addition to her parents, 1 Grandson: Josh Brown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services for Thirise Ann Allen, 67, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Allentown Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born August 6, 1952, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Donald E. Allen and Ruth Meadows Allen. She was a factory worker and beautician, and a member of the New Salem Church of Christ.

Graveside services for L. Wayne Sliger, 69 of Gainesboro will be held Friday, October 25th, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Interment will follow the service. Mr. Sliger died Friday, October 19the at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga after a short illness. He was born on October 26, 1949, to the late Luther E. Sliger and Betty Jo Sliger both from Cookeville. Mr. Sliger was a retired electrician and a farmer. He loved the land, animals, and helping people when he could. He was a great man of great warmth and strength. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His family included his wife Virginia Hoban Sliger (Gainesboro), brother Richard Sliger and his wife Tish (Cookeville), Sister Lou Ann Carter and her husband Alex (Hendersonville), four sons; Jim Sliger and wife Nikki (Texas), Tom Sliger and wife Nancy (Cookeville), Matt Sliger and wife Jaclyn (Algood), and Boone Sliger and wife Brandi (Cookeville), along with nine grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be sent to the Ronald McDonald House.

Graveside services for Shirley Ann Mitchell, 68, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, October 25, 2019, at the Cubb Creek Cemetery in the Cubb Creek community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon – 1:30 P.M. She passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was born October 31, 1950, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Fred Sisco and Nannie Byrd Lee Sisco. She was married to the late Michael Thomas Mitchell. She worked as a clinical psychologist.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Winnell Buckner, age 86, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m Saturday October 26 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. David Hill will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. His family will receive friends Saturday 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Buckner passed away Wednesday October 23, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
