Mrs. Evelyn Phillips, Age 89 Of Monterey, Passed Away On Thursday, March 11, At Standing Stone Care And Rehabilitation Center. Funeral Arrangements Are Incomplete.
Gene Kennedy, 75 of the Whites Bend community of Jackson County, passed away on March 10 at his residence. He was born May 16, 1945, in Pikeville, KY, to the late Monte Kennedy and Victoria Gilman Kennedy. On March 18, 2000, he was married to Georgia Kennedy, who survives. He worked in a paper mill, and was a member of the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by contacting Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home at 931-268-1550. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time.
Teresa Ann (Pryor) Massa, 65 of Cookeville, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Teresa was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Teresa was known to be witty and funny. She was very giving and had a heart of Gold. She loved animals and rescued cats and dogs and kept them as her own. Teresa was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. The family has chosen cremation and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Kevin David Bryant, age 52 of Nashville, will be held Friday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. An additional service will be held at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Bryant died Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His family will receive friends Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial services for Terry M. Clinard, 77 of the Dodson Branch community, will be held on Friday, March 12 at 4 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Mr. Clinard passed away on Tuesday, March 9, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1944, in Davidson County, to the late Lawrence Hugo Clinard and Hazel Frances Harris Clinard. On September 24, 1966, he was married to Mattie Lue Clinard, who survives. He worked as a roofer. He is survived by his wife, Mattie Lue Clinard of Cookeville, TN; and son, Robert Dewayne Clinard of McMinnville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 P.M. until time of services at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life for Mary Jane Hamlet, age 58 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday March 13 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Bobby Moore will officiate. Ms. Hamlet passed away suddenly Tuesday March 9. Jane was an exceptional athlete in her younger years. She excelled in softball and was a rowdy rooter when her kids played sports. She was also a fabulous cook, an exceptional crafter, and loved all animals, especially her two dachshunds. Jane is survived by her children, Kelsey Hamlet, Nick (Shelbey) Hamlet, and Aly Hamlet all of Cookeville; and parents, Johnnie and Barbara Burchett of Cookeville. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until service time.
Funeral Services for Mary Stockton, age 80 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Bro. Frank Davis will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Stockton passed away on March 8 in Putnam County. She is survived by her children, Dewayne (Phillis) Stockton, Roger (Toni) Stockton, Larry Stockton, Susanne (Danny) Western and Claudia (Lonny) Mather. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00am until time of services at 2:00pm.
