Obituaries For Thursday, June 25

Mrs. Willie Belle Snell, age 97 of Cookeville, died Wednesday, June 24th at 8:55 p.m. at NHC Healthcare, Cookeville. Arrangements for Mrs. Snell are incomplete.

Funeral Services for Richard Steven Clark, age 77 of Sparta, will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Central Church of Christ in Sparta. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm on Thursday until Service time at the church. Christopher Wiles will officiate the service. He passed away June 20, 2020 at his farm. He was born on July 11, 1942 in Overton County, TN to the late B.C. and Stella Maynard Clark. Richard served in the Tennessee National Guard. Richard was loved by all who knew him. He loved to laugh, and always had others laughing along with him. He had a servant’s heart and was eager to help anyone in need. He worked hard at anything he did, taking especially good care of his farm in White County, where he lived most of his life. Memorials may be made to Happy Haven Homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie A. Murray, age 66 of Cookeville, will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 25th starting at 4 PM until 8 PM. Officiating the service will be Bro. Steven Looper. She passed from this life on Monday evening, June 22, 2020 at the Signature Health and Rehabilitation of Putnam Co. Rosie A. Murray was born in Livingston, Overton Co., TN to the late John Ed and Alice (Presley) Wilson. Rosie was a member of the Hope in Christ Fellowship Church in Monterey. Rosie loved her family very much and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the funeral home to go toward funeral expenses.

Funeral services for Kurt Craig, age 33 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday June 26 at Life Church in Cookeville. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the church and Friday from 10 – 11 a.m. at the church. Firefighter Craig passed away suddenly Friday June 19, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Garrett, age 74 of Livingston will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 2:30 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Paran Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 25th starting at 6 PM until 9 PM. She passed from this life at her residence on Monday, June 22, 2020. Barbara was born in Cookeville on October 16, 1945 to the late Walter and Georgia (Young) Bryant. Barbara was of the Baptist Faith and she worked in Health care as a C N A. Barbara will be greatly missed by her family.

Funeral Services For Johnny Swallows, Age 48, Of Monterey, Tennessee, Will Be Conducted On Saturday, June 27, 2020, At 11:00 AM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Floyd Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The Welch Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Swallows Was Born On October 17, 1971, In Jamestown, Tennessee, To The Late Tom Swallows And Atless Harris Swallows Of Monterey, Tennessee. Mr. Swallows Passed Away On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Swallows Was A Fork Lift Operator For Many Years In The Timber Industry. Later In Life, He Worked As A Tree Trimmer With Galloway And Trees Incorporated. He Was A Graduate Of Monterey High School Class Of 1990. He Was Of The Baptist Faith. In Addition To His Mother, He Is Survived By, His Wife, Donna Key Swallows Of Monterey, TN; 1 Daughter And Son-In-Law, Sarah And Nick Neafus Of Walling, TN; 3 Sons, Cody Swallows Of Monterey, TN, Aaron Swallows And Companion, Kelsey Of Monterey, TN, Sean Swallows Of Monterey, TN; 5 Grandchildren, Annabella, Allison, Sebastian, Dusty And Dylan; And 1 Sister And Brother-In-Law, Rochelle And Kris Sells Of Livingston, TN. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Saturday, June 27, 2020, From 9:00 AM Until Time Of Services At 11:00 AM. In Lieu Of Flowers, The Family Request Memorial Donations May Be Given To The Funeral Home To Help With Funeral Expenses.
