Obituaries For Monday, October 14

Funeral Services for Margaret L. Reagan, 89, of Anderson, and formerly of Overton County, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, officiated by Rev. Bob Bell. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery. She passed away, October 11, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness surrounded by her family. Margaret was born November 26, 1929, in Grayville Ill., the daughter of the late Wesley and Stella Taylor. She was raised in Tennessee and came to Indiana in 1949. As a homemaker, Margaret lovingly and unselfishly devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service for James Calvin “Jim” Buchanan, 66 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday October 15 beginning at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Wright officiating. Jim passed from this life Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Monday, October 27, 1952, he was the son of the late James and Bertie Ann (Dixon) Buchanan. He was a loving Father, Grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He loved Cars, Golfing, Fishing, and spending time with his family. Jim and his wife Karen spread love and joy by sharing their home with numerous Foster Children. Jim is survived by: 2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-law: Elizabeth Thornton, Angel and David Wiley; 1 Son: Charles Buchanan; 1 Sister: Carolyn Morris; 2 Grandsons: Ulrich and Thatcher Wiley. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded by his Wife: Karen Buchanan, and 1 Sister: Goldie Ann Buchanan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Funeral service for Mr. David Demond Culley, age 45 a native of Sparta, will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Oaklawn Cemetery. He passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born September 5, 1974 in Sparta to Carolyn Ruth Gribble Culley and David Wayne Culley.  Along with his parents, he is also survived by  his sister:  Jessie Christine Culley; Grandfather:  Ulysses Culley, Sr.; Aunts and Uncles:  Donna Sue Carr, Ulysses Culley, Jr., Debra Brewington, Deloris Robinson, Samuel “Tobby” Culley, and Jeffrey “Shotgun” Culley; Cousin: Alicia Hayes; his Fur Baby:  Bandit; Special Friends: Christy McAdams and Jennifer Dunkle, and a host of other cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am Wednesday morning till Service time.

Funeral services will be held for Mr. Carlos “Tony” Woodrow Daniels, age 75 of Cookeville, will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Cookeville. Mr. Daniels passed away from this life on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Daniels was born in Maysville, Mason Co., KY on August 10, 1944 to Lincoln Carlos “Tony” and Lola Jane “Mary” Ferrell Daniels. Tony was a truck driver for many years. He loved his family very much and he will be greatly missed. Survivors: Wife: Shirley Biggers; 5 Daughters: Carla Bundrant and husband Doug, Kelly Wise and Scott Ward, Debbie Coleman, Paula Goodwin and husband James, Nickie Rogers and husband Keith; 1 Step Daughter: Lorie Michele Smith; Parents: Lincoln Carlos “Tony” and Lola Jane “Mary” Ferrell Daniels 1 Sister: Carol Ginn; 1 Brother: Robert Paul Daniels; 16 Grandchildren: Ashley Key and Nolan Johnson, Landin Goodwin, Amanda Goodwin, Dustin Goodwin, Alex Daniels, Austin Daniels, Thomas Wise, Amanda Washburn and husband William, Trey Bundrant and wife Ashlynn, Andrew Bundrant, Mary Grace Bundrant, Breanna Short and husband Joey, Jake Rogers and wife Makayla, Toni Coleman, Cody Coleman, Teia Rochelle Smith; 4 Great Grandchildren: Daniel Johnson, London Washburn, Morgan Washburn, Beau Allen Myrick. Preceded in death: 1 Son: David Daniels; 1 Sister: Vickie Jane Daniels; 1 Brother: Tommy Chandler. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, October 15th starting at 5 PM until 9 PM.

Funeral services for Lillard Tallant, age 82, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Doyle Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Lewis Cemetery. Lillard passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at NHC Cookeville in Cookeville. He was born Monday, July 5, 1937 in Franklin to the late Robert Alvis Tallant and Linda Anderson Tallant. Lillard was a retired Mechanic at Pepsi-Cola. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Leffew Tallant; four children, William Tallant of Fort Gratiot, MI, Bonnie Duncan of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, Lu Geller of Clinton Township, MI and Chris Tallant of Center Line, MI; two stepchildren, Princeton (Debra) Ball and Donna (Willard) Denny of Cookeville; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Memorial Graveside Services for Mary Mae Clark, age 88 of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11:00AM at Zion Hill Cemetery. Pastor Tommy Harris will officiate. Mary Mae Clark passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mary was born on January 5, 1931 in Alamo, Indiana to the late Charles and Bertha (White) Ammerman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister and 2 Brothers.

Funeral Services for Colonel Angelo (Angel) Domingo Fernandez, USMC (Ret), age 83 of Sparta, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday October 19 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Fr. John Patrick Day will officiate. Interment will military honors provided by a US Marine Corps Honor Guard will follow at the Cookeville City Cemetery. Angel was born in New York City on November 9, 1935, one of three sons, and was raised in his parent’s bar and restaurant business in Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood. Angel retired from Cummins Filtration in June 2002 and began his next career as a fine art painter and instructor. A self-taught fine art painter endlessly seeking improvement through classes, workshops, art books, and confraternity with other artists. He enjoyed painting with all media especially pastels, charcoal, watercolor, and oil paints. Angel was a member of the Cookeville Art Studio and Gallery, and member of the Portrait Society of America as well as a contributing writer of their Literary Committee. His family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.

A masonic service followed by a memorial service for Mr. William Paul Bluege, age 80 of Cookeville and formerly of Jefferson, WI, will be held Saturday, October 19th at 3:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. His family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Bluege passed on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born September 29, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Emil and Helen Drager Bluege. He received his bachelor’s degree from Concordia University Chicago and a masters degree from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI. He served as principal as West Elementary in Jefferson, Wisconsin. He also owned Blues Brothers Storage in Jefferson and he was very active in the Rotary Club of Jefferson. He and his wife Gerry have lived in Cookeville for the last 14 years where he has been active mason with Cookeville Lodge F&AM #266.

A Memorial Service for Patricia C. Farley, 80, of Sparta will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 3:30 pm at North Sparta Church of GOD with Bro. Steve Gerhart officiating. She passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at her home in Sparta. Mrs. Farley was born on November 7, 1938 to the late Walter Alford Richard Rainbird and Connie May Harrington Rainbird in Watford, England. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Brother- Roy Alford Richard Rainbird. Survivors include: Daughter- Debbie Farley Roberts (Henry)of Sparta; Son- Larry Dale Farley; And many special family members. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 2:00-3:30 at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you make donations to the Humane Society or Sparta Animal Shelter.

A Celebration of Life for Hope Riely Long, 20 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 beginning at 4:00 PM. from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Hope passed from this life Monday, October 7, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Hope was born Thursday, December 31, 1998 in Whittier, California, she was the daughter of Patrick Long and Jennifer Stoker. Hope was a loving Mother, Daughter, and friend to all who knew her. Hope loved fishing with her pet Max, Art, such as paintings and sketchings. She loved music and dancing around the house. She is survived by: 1 Daughter: Rory May Long of Cookeville; Mother: Jennifer (Mark) DeFalco of Cookeville; Father: Patrick (Gabriella) Long of California; 2 Sisters: Pat Long of Cookeville, Stephanie Sandoval of California; 1 Brother: Anthony DeFalco of Cookeville.
