Bobby Gunter, age 64 of Birmingham, AL, formerly of Cookeville, passed away Sunday morning at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Arrangements are incomplete.
Julia Goodwin, age 79 of Sparta, passed away on Saturday July 4, 2020 at her residence. Arrangements are incomplete.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Farley, age 88 of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday July 7 at Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Gaw will officiate. Interment will be at Crest Lawn Cemetery. She passed away Saturday July 4, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born March 22, 1932 in Cookeville to the late Willis and Annie Griffin Dixon. Thelma was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. She worked for ACME Boot for over 40 years and retired from Aqua Tech with 17 years of service. Thelma is survived by two daughters, Patsy Jenkins and Lisa Dillon of Cookeville; brother, CJ (Pat) Dixon of Michigan; grandchildren, Jenny (Allen) Rigsby, Hershel (Hannah) Jenkins, Rachel (Byron) Hamilton, Shawn (Heather) Dillon, and Nathan (Alycia) Dillon all of Cookeville; great-grandchildren, Elijah Rigsby, Lyndsey Dillon, Braelyn Hamilton, and Andrew Dwyer; niece, Peggy (Ronnie) West, nephews, David (Debbie) Dixon, Charles (Martha) Dixon, Tim (Marsha) Dixon, George (Kim) Dixon, Jim (Debbie) Dixon, and Jerry (D’Ann) Dixon.Friends are invited to come by the funeral home to sign the guest book and pay their respects on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time. Funeral Services for Mr. David Charles Auberson, age 72, of Rickman will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Matt Tuttle will officiate. Burial to follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home. Mr. Auberson passed from this life on Saturday, July 4, 2020 from the Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born September 16, 1947 in Overton County to the late Homer & Ova Auberson. Baptist in Faith, Mr. Auberson enjoyed being outdoors, and helping his wife around the house. He also enjoyed to fix and repair things, and was a hard worker. His wife and family was the joy of his life. He leaves behind his loving wife Betty Jean Cox Auberson of Rickman; daughter, Tammy Collins & husband Daniel of Livingston; sons, Donnie Auberson of Rickman, Mark Auberson & wife Kerstin of Byrdstown, and Jeffery Auberson of Rickman; 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Auberson & wife Billie of Livingston. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, June Scantland.
Funeral services for Mr. Donald Ogletree, age 82 of Livingston, will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 7th at the funeral home starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Danny Staggs. The family request that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Walnut Grove Cemetery Trust Fund. He passed from this life on Sunday morning, July 5, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Donald Felix Ogletree was born in Livingston, Overton Co., TN to the late Felix and Mildred (Savage) Ogletree. Donald worked road construction and was a member of the Swallows Chapel Church of Christ. He loved his family very much and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include Wife Naoma Ogletree of Livngston, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna Reagan and her husband James of Monroe, TN; 2 Step Daughters: Lesia Kempton and Donna Harvey both of Livingston, TN; 1 Grandson: Christopher Hammock and his wife Danielle of Livingston, TN; 3 Granddaughters: Kellie Wells and husband Gary of Allons, TN, Elizabeth Harvey of Livingston, TN, Sarah Slaven and her husband Lance of Kentucky; 5 Great Grandsons; 2 great Granddaughters: 1 Brother: Buddy Ogletree and his wife Betty of California;1 Sister: Kathy Winningham and her husband Marlon of Livingston, TN; 1 Uncle Owen Savage and his wife Wanda of Livingston.
