Don Hembree, 82 of Cookeville died Thursday September 17, 2020 at 12;38 a.m. in Signature Health Care of Putnam County.

Graveside services for Clarence Thomas Gentry, Jr., 75 of the Calfkiller Community in Putnam County, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 beginning at 11:00 am at Bohannon Cemetery in the Calfkiller Community with Bro. Bobby Floyd officiating. Mr. Gentry passed from this life Sunday, September 13, 2020, at his home. He was born Wednesday, February 7, 1945 in Cookeville. He was the son of the late Clarence Thomas Gentry and the late Ruby (Hunter) Gentry. Clarence was a loving husband, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed being outdoors and all outdoor activities. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years, family, friends and fur babies. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary (Holloway) Gentry. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Phines Holloway for all his help in taking care of Clarence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Organization, St. Judes Children’s Hospital or Putnam County Animal Shelter.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Robert Ledbetter, age 85 of Livingston, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Mr. Ledbetter went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday night, September 14, 2020 surrounded by his loving family, Overton Co. Health and Rehab nursed, and his special Caris Hospice Nurse Kim Savage. Robert attended Livingston Academy and proudly served in the United States Army; he was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Robert was a retired truck driver and many remembered him from coleman Exxon where he worked after retiring from driving. He was a very active member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and followed LA in their football, basketball, and soccer program for many years. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Ledbetter; 3 Daughters: Sherry Munn and husband Skip of Smyrna, Tammy Keylon and husband Mark of Livingston, and Kim Warren and husband Pat of Livingston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning, September 19th starting at 9 AM until the 11 AM service. Officiating with the service will be Bro. James Shenko.
Funeral services for Cleda Massa Terry, 75, of Sparta, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Hickory Valley. Mrs. Terry passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Jacksonville, FL at University of FL Health – North Hospital. Momma (Grandmommy) was a full-time homemaker in both Tennessee and their vacation home in Georgia. She dearly loved and appreciated her husband, Randall. She loved to spend every moment possible with her grandchildren and daughters. This devoted wife, mother and grandmother will be dearly missed and forever loved. Cleda is survived by her husband, Randall Terry; and her daughters, Cristal and Nicola. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Hunter Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Edith Marie Loftis, age 75 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, September 18th starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. The family has chosen cremation after the service. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Nolan Cantrell. Mrs. Edith Marie Loftis was born in Livingston, Overton Co. on Saturday, December 16, 1944 to the late Hardy and Ethel Lee (Hammock) Cantrell. Edith loved her children and grandchildren very much. Edith will be greatly missed by them all.
Memorial services for Kimberley Marie (Flatt)Murphy, 56 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 beginning at 1:00 pm at West View Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Simpson officiating. Mrs. Murphy was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, In her final hours Kim was surrounded by her family. Kim was a loving wife, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She touched so many lives and made a huge difference for so many people. Kim retired from the Board of Education where she had a huge heart for all children, especially her special needs children. She was an active member of West View Baptist Church where she worked tirelessly in the clothing closet and food pantry to serve our community. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Kim is survived by her husband of 22 years Tim Murphy of Cookeville; two stepdaughters and one stepson. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 am until time of service at 1 :00 pm.
Memorial Services for Carolyn Sue Sherrell, 71 of Sparta, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Joe Neal officiating. Mrs. Sherrell passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, thrift store shopping, going on picnics with her family. She was a dedicated caretaker of her husband of 51 years, James (Lolly). She was also a member of Eaton Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Sherrell; children, Jerry Sherrell, Debbie Yates and Lori Dyer. The family will welcome friends from 11 AM until time of the service at the funeral home. Family has requested that all attendees please wear a face mask and continue to practice sicial distancing while attending all visitations due to COVID-19.

Pastors Jimmie Simpson and Eugene Schmid will officiate. Bob passed away Thursday September 17, 2020 at his home. Bob was a member of West View Baptist Church. He was the proprietor of several businesses, including Belle Acres Golf Course and Algood Diner. He was an avid golfer and was known for winning several longest drive contests. He enjoyed his time on the golf course with his numerous golfing buddies on a regular basis. He had a great sense of humor and several people have been victims of his light-hearted pranks. He helped support several local car lots and dealerships by regularly “getting the itch to trade”. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Wilson Randolph, they married December 24, 1968 in Cookeville; son, Steven (Jennifer) Randolph; and daughter, Rhonda (Ricky) Lynn. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time.
