Memorial Services for Mrs. Margaret Carol Carter Mounts, age 69 of Sparta, will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, October 13, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Mounts passed away Saturday morning October 6, 2018 at Life Care Center of Sparta. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00am until service time at Hunter Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Roach, 89 of Algood will be held Saturday October 13 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Whitson officiating. Interment will follow in Paran Cemetery. She died Thursday October 11, 2018 at 2:05 a.m. in Bethesda Health Care Center. Geraldine’s family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.

Service for Samuel “Sammie” Oscar Frasier Jr., age 66 of Cookeville, will begin at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home with internment at Frasier- Gracey Cemetery. “Sammie” passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Sammie was born on March 4, 1952 in White County to Sammy Oscar Frasier Sr. and Barbara Ann Frasier. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Norman and Addie Rice and Albert F. and Bessie and Morean Frasier; nieces, Michelle Jones, Sherri Tabor. Sammie is survived by Michael Dean and Charlotte Frasier of Jackson, MI, Deborah Elaine and Frank Rogowski of Quebeck, Linda Darlene Goolsby of McMinnville, Darryl Edward Frasier of Cookeville, Cheryl Ann Frasier of Cookeville, Gary Allen Frasier of Cookeville; Several nieces and nephews as well as aunts and uncles; special cousins, Ronnie and Donna Frasier. Family will accept visitors on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M.

Funeral services for Frederick “FRED” John Shellenbarger, Jr., 55 of Baxter, will be Saturday, October 13 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Fred died Monday, October 8, 2018 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 9, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frederick John Shellenbarger, Sr. and Nancy Lowry Shellenbarger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Annette Stephenson and a brother-in-law Donald Cowan. He was a 1981 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. He was pipeline welder and enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He attended Duncan’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Ted Kocher will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends Friday 5 to 8 PM and after 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Graveside Celebration Of Life Services for Ms. Phyllis D. “Tutty” Kennedy, age 59 of Anderson IN and formerly of Overton County will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 from the Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Randy Pickens will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the graveside. Ms. Kennedy passed from this life on April 21, 2018 in Anderson Indiana. She was born in Livingston, May 31, 1958 to the late John & Corine Taylor Kennedy. She was a graduate of Madison Heights High School. Tutty enjoyed going to concerts with her great-nephew, Austin, and crafting and being with her family.

Funeral services for Miss. Mary “Sandra” Brown, age 57 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday October 13 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Sandra died Suddenly Saturday afternoon, October 6, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Sandra’s family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12 noon until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce L. Danner, 84 of Allons, will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. The family chose cremation after the service. Mrs. Danner passed away at Signature Healthcare in Algood on Thursday morning, October 11, 2018. Mrs. Danner was born to the late Clarence and Ola Ford Booher on September 18, 1934 in Allons. She worked in a restaurant as a cook. Mrs. Joyce Danner attended Church of Christ. Survivors: 1 Son: Glen Robbins and Shelly Scantland; 1 Daughter: Carolyn Robinson and husband Daren; 2 Sisters: Betty Burkes and husband Sonny, Geneva Carter and husband Stanley; 3 Grandchildren: Amy Reagan, Amanda Dyer, Howard Douglas Robbins; A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in death: Husband: Robert Danner; Parents: Clarence and Ola Ford Booher; Son: Robert Jimmy Danner; Brothers: Wayne Booher, Junior Booher; Sisters: Pansy Booher, Geraldine Booher, Evelyn Mathis; Granddaughter: Carolyn Michelle Long. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Officiating will be Bro. John Mabrey.

Memorial services for Mrs. Marilyn Rowe, 88 of Gainesboro, will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2 P.M. at the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. She passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to the late William “Bill” Taylor and Ethel Taylor. She was married to the late William Eugene Rowe, Sr. She was a homemaker, and volunteered heavily at Teen Challenge helping young people. She spent the last 7 years in Gainesboro, and studied at the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 Sons: Bill Rowe of Pace, FL, and David Rowe of Lima, OH; 1 Daughter: Merry Lynn Shepherd of Clearwater, FL; 10 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services for Joan Short, age 79, of Cookeville will be held Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with son, Pastor Jim Short officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Joan Short passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at her home in Cookeville. Joan Short was born September 8, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph Huber and Celina Denault Huber. Mrs. Short will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved to go camping with her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with all of her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Joan Short was preceded in death by: her husband, James Calvin Short; son, Ronald Short. She is survived by: daughter, Cathi Short Killom of Cookeville; sons, Jim (Pat) Short, John (Tish) Short, Don (Annie) Short, all of Cookeville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Roberts of Detroit, Michigan; brother, Joe Huber of North Carolina. The family will receive friends prior to the Service on Sunday, October 14, 2018, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Huffines, age 80, of Cookeville will be held Monday October 15 at 1 p.m. at Cookeville First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro. Mary Ann died Thursday October 11, 2018 at 10:20 p.m. in the West Meade Place in Nashville. Mary Ann’s family will receive friends Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 12 noon until service time both at Cookeville First United Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Brooks, age 93 of Cookeville will be held Monday October 15 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. She died Thursday October 11, 2018 at 8:20 p.m. in Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Mildred’s family will receive friends on Monday from 12 noon until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horne Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Eunice Avenell Adams, age 88, of Cookeville will be held Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastors Steve Thornton and Roger Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Eunice Avenell Adams passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her home in Cookeville. She was born Friday, October 18, 1929 in Ferndale, Michigan to the late William Jason Alfrey and Della Callaway Alfrey. Mrs. Adams was a long time member of 15 Mile Free Will Baptist Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She will always be remembered as a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and being a homemaker. She was very talented, sewing her children’s clothes. She also enjoyed collecting dolls. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, John Adams, Sr.; son, Dennis Shellnut; sisters, Virginia Smith and Marie Caskey. She is survived by: her children, Brenda (Bernie) Morlock of Florida, Bonnie (Al) Leveque of Cookeville, John Adams, Jr. of Cookeville, and Chuck Adams of Cookeville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; very special twin girls, (they were like her own children) Barbara and Brenda; many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 15, 2018, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Tuesday, October 16, 2018, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home.
