Patricia Ann Baksa, 79 of Carthage, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage. Patricia was born Saturday, July 6, 1940 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Michael Stadler and the late Matilda (Bloushu) Stadler. Patricia had a love for animals, especially her dogs, Buddy, Molly, and LuLu. Patricia chose cremation, the family followed her wishes, and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
James Whitley “Whit” Watts, age 83 of Cookeville, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at his home. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
Graveside Services for Mr. James Larry Hogue, age 69, of Livingston will be conducted 10 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 from the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Roger Phillips will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. Larry passed from this life on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from his residence. He was born July 18, 1950 at his home in Hilham to the late Delbert & Anna Ruth Hogue. Larry loved working on cars and motorcycle’s. He worked for several years at fast food merchandisers in Monterey, before he became disabled. Larry was a friend that could be counted on for whatever you needed or just to sit and listen. He will be missed by all that knew him. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran and was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Larry is survived by the mother of his children, Nancy Hogue of Texas; sons, Chris Hogue of Texas, and Tim Hogue of Livingston; brother, Gary Hogue & wife Carol of Livingston; aunt, Frances Gore of MI; several other friends and family. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade & Amber Hogue, and Buford & Nola Dailey. The family will welcome friends at the Graveside.
Memorial services for Timmy Arthur McCamman, age 78, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23 at Dodson Branch Baptist Church with Bro. John Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9am till the time of the service. Mr. McCamman passed away Monday November 18, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born December 4, 1940 in Kalamazoo MI to the late Arthur and Vivian Crawford McCannan. Mr. McCamman was a kind hearted man who never met a stranger and loved his family. He was a retired landscape artist in Michigan. He and his wife moved to Tennessee to enjoy the country life.
Celebration of Life for Margaret Young Phipps, 93 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Kevin Conrad officiating. She passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Heritage Pointe Senior Living in Cookeville. Margaret was born Thursday, December 17, 1925 in Hartsville, and she was the daughter of the late Robert Phillip and the late Mary “Corrine” (Marlin) Dickens. Margaret was a loving daughter, devoted wife, and mother. Margaret is survived by: Son, Michael and Carrie Phipps. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by, Husband, Perry Lee Phipps. Visitiation will be held at 10:00 am until time of service.

Interment will follow in West Cemetery in the Fairview Community. Ruth passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville. She was born Wednesday, October 22, 1941 in Waldron, Arkansas to her late biological parents, Anton Supon and Hattie Perkins Supon. Ruth never met a stranger. She will long be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She liked to read. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved Mama, Cordelia Shirley; husbands, Harold Daniels, (married for 39 years), and Marty Vinson; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by a son, Kenny (Donia) Daniels of Baxter; 3 daughters, Lynn (David) Littrell of Cookeville, Lisa (Nicholas) Alsop of Dallas, Texas; Kathy (Scott) Lucius of Cookeville; 6 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2019, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Saturday, November 23, 2019, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Lane “Junior” Cunningham, Jr. age 77 of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Sparta, will be conducted 12:00pm Saturday, November 23, 2019 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cunningham Cemetery. Mr. Cunningham passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 after a long illness. Mr. Cunningham was born March 24, 1942 in Sparta to the late Arthur Lane Cunningham, Sr. and Dora Ann LaFever Cunningham. He was retired from the logistics division of AT&T. On Saturdays, Junior loved to watch college football, especially Florida State and Sundays were reserved for NASCAR, throughout the week he enjoyed watching old television shows. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters Beulah Mae Cunningham, Ruby Stockman, Mildred Kirby; brother Kenneth Cunningham; step-son James David Pressly. Surviving family members include his wife Marion Flynn Cunningham of Jacksonville, Florida; Son: Todd (Gina) Cunningham of Kennesaw, GA; Step-son: Steven Pressly of Jacksonville, FL; Step-daughter: Marion Thompson of Chantilly, VA; Daughter-in-law: Kimberlee Pressly; Five grandchildren; Sisters: Myrtle Lee, Loraine Stone, Lillian Jones, Rowena Caperton, Edna Hill and Sue Vaughn; A host of nieces and nephews also survive. Interment will follow in the Algood Heritage Cemetery. His family will receive friends Saturday November 23 from 11 a.m until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Hall died Thursday November 14, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Robbins passed from this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Overton County Health and Rehab. Mr. Robbins was born in Hamilton, Butler Co., Ohio on July 3, 1967 to Ordra and JoNell (Cole) Robbins. Scott was loved by his family very and he loved them back in return. He will be greatly missed. Terry Ray Franklin passed from this life on Thursday evening, November 21, 2019 from the Overton County Health & Rehab Center. He was born June 12, 1946, in Putnam County to the late William Ray & Jewell Odel Garrett Franklin. Terry Ray was a 1964 Graduate of Livingston Academy. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Alpine Presbyterian Church. Terry Ray enjoyed watching westerns, sports, enjoyed great food and watching the traffic pass by his house. Terry Ray leaves behind his brothers, Nickey Franklin of Livingston, and Greg Franklin & wife Barbara of the Standing Stone Community; nieces, Lora Jones, Holly Barnes, and Elizabeth Franklin; great nephew, Deacon Barnes, and great niece, Ellie Barnes. Darlene passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. Darlene was born Wednesday, September 16, 1936 in Farmerstown, Ohio to the late Oscar D. Oswald and Pearl F. Sheneman Oswald. Darlene was a long time school teacher at Volunteer Christian Academy in Sparta. She was the pianist at Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta.
Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Terry Clark, age 93, of Cookeville, TN will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Donaldson Cemetery in Clay County on her family farm. Buddy Johnson, minister of the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ, will officiate. Mrs. Clark died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Clark was born Wednesday, January 13, 1926 to the late Jewell W. and Agnes Donaldson Terry. She grew up in Celina, TN with her sister, the late Aenona Terry Harper. She married Alfred Cornell (A.C.) Clark on March 18, 1948 in Cookeville, TN and was preceded by him in death. They were married for sixty-eight years. She was a lifelong member of the church of Christ and an active member of the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ for over 50 years. Mrs. Clark graduated from Celina High School in Clay County Tennessee. She received her B.S. Degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1948 where she was an honor graduate. She served as the first woman president of the Math club, was a member of Kappa Mu Epsilon, Pi Kappa Delta, listed in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities and was elected Miss Tech. She began her career in education teaching at Celina High School in Clay County, later in Pickett County, and at Upperman High School in Putnam County. She was a member of the Putnam County Education Association, Tennessee Education Association, and served as a delegate at the National Teachers Association. She was especially fond of her students and was pleased to see them in later years and hear of their accomplishments. After her retirement from teaching, she served as executive assistant to the Tennessee Rehabilitation Corporation for more than ten years. In the Cookeville Community, she was a member of the Farm Bureau Women’s Committee and was a member of the Family and Community Education Club for over 50 years. She served as a member and an officer in Delta Kappa Gamma and the Retired Teachers Association. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Board of Directors at the Cookeville Senior Center and a volunteer for the Putnam County Fair, the Cookeville History Museum and the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center.

Mary passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on October 27, 1938, to the late Paul V. Lahey and Ambelina (Reaggini) Lahey. Mary was the loving wife of 28 years to COL Arthur (Sonny) C Weber Jr, USAF (ret). They were married on July 20, 1991, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of Life Church in Cookeville, and her faith as born again Christian gave her joy, strength, and peace every day of her life. She enjoyed eating out, spending time with family and friends and reading. Mary is survived by her husband, Arthur; sons, Russell Nunes of Swansea, MA. Richard Nunes (Kathy) of Bellevue, Florida, and daughter Judi Whiteaker ( Mike) of Cookeville. She also leaves behind 3 step-children, Samuel Weber Captain (P) US Army( Sheila) of Alexandria, VA., Angelica Weber of Cookeville, and Cathy Weber of Germany. She was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Carolyn and Ann Lahey.
