Funeral Services for Mrs. Zolonia E. Mayer Steffens age 89, of Allons will be held at a later date. Mrs. Zolonia passed from this life on Tuesday morning, October 29, 2019 from the Overton County Health & Rehab in Livingston. She was born in West Frankfort, Illinois on January 8, 1930, to the late Rollie & Haydia Brooks Mayer. She worked for many years as a loan officer.

Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Dunn, age 85, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday November 2 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the West Cemetery. Mr. Dunn passed away Thursday evening October 31, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His family will receive friends 5 – 8 p.m. Friday and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jean McCaleb, age 87, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday November 2 at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Danny Lane will officiate. Interment will follow in the Boiling Springs Cemetery. Mrs. McCaleb passed away Wednesday afternoon October 30, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 29, 1932 in Putnam County to the late George Monroe and Alice Jane Thomas Sherrell. Mrs. McCaleb has a homemaker. She was loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she cared deeply for her family. She enjoyed singing gospel music in local churches with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Goff of Baxter and Priscilla Cox (husband, Sherman); sister, Mary Martin of Baxter; four grandchildren, Amy Goff; Andrew Goff (wife, Gail), Brianna Howell (husband, Logan) and Jessica Cox; and three great-grandchildren, Shari, Earnest and Lily Goff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bulas McCaleb; eight brothers, Edgar, Estel, Lloyd, Billy, Robert, Wynne D., Leonard, and Oakley Sherrell; two sisters, Myrtie Bussell, and Clara Spears; and son-in-law, Donald Lee Goff. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Leva Jean Smith McLean, age 75, of Livingston will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Aron Dillon will officiate. Burial to follow in the Falling Springs Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Leva Jean passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon, October 29, 2019 from the Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee. She was born in Overton County, Tennessee on April 13, 1944 to the late Jennings Pearson, and Artie Wilma Cantrell Smith. She was Baptist in faith and worked for many years at Hutchinson in Livingston.

Funeral services for Ruthie Lee Boyd, age 80, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Presley Funeral Home with Evangelist Seth Presley officiating. Interment will follow in Stewart Cemetery. Ruthie Lee Boyd passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at NHC HealthCare in Cookeville. She was born Monday, April 10, 1939 in Baxter, Tennessee to the late Ernest Paskell Burgess and Erma Ocia Rice Burgess. She was a member of Bussell Church of Christ. She was retired from Russell Stover Candies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Boyd; three brothers, Robert Dale Burgess, Willie Dillon Burgess, and Ray Dean Burgess; sister, Ruby Helen Burgess. She is survived by a brother, Paskell Wayne Burgess of Baxter; two sisters, Reba Joyce Flatt and Cleo Cole, both of Cookeville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2019, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Saturday, November 2, 2019, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Ms. Sheila Renee Riley, age 50, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday November 2 at Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta. Rev. Hillier Duke will officiate. Interment will follow in the Story Cemetery in Pickett County. Sheila passed away Tuesday October 29, 2019 at Signature Health Care of Putnam County. Her family will receive friends Saturday 11 a.m. until service time at the Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Faye Brown, 73, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. She passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at Signature Health Care Center in Algood. She was born May 29, 1946, in Jackson County, to the late Fred Long and Edna Long. On May 23, 1964, she was married to the late Joe Clyde Brown, who passed away September 9, 1997. She was a factory worker and Head Start worker, and attended the Burristown Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Sandra Faye Brown. Survivors include 1 Son: Anthony (Kristi) Brown of Gainesboro; 1 Grandson: Dylan (Cameron) Brown of Gainesboro; 1 Granddaughter: Chelsea Brown of Gainesboro; 1 Brother: Ronnie (Gail) Long of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Helen Johnson of Madison, and Rosie (Ronald) Cherry of San Antonio, TX.

Funeral services for Opie Lafate Hedgecough, age 86, of Cookeville, TN will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Calvin Carroll and Bro. Benton Flatt officiating. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will only be held Saturday from 11:00AM till time of the service at 2:00PM at Whitson Funeral Home. Mr. Hedgecough passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. Opie Lafate Hedgecough was born on June 24, 1933 in Baxter, TN to the late George and Bessie (Honeycutt) Hedgecough. He was retired from Fleetguard as a shipping Supervisor and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Jones Passed Away On Thursday, October 31, 2019, At His Home. Mr. Jones Was A Heavy Equipment Mechanic Working With Interstate Construction, Jones Brothers, And Brown Brothers Construction. He Attended Monterey Second Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Willie Frank Rogers, Sr., age 70 of the Ravenscroft Community of White County, will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Ravenscroft Church of God with burial to follow in New Bon Air Cemetery. Frank passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2019 at his residence. Frank was born December 12, 1948 in Byromville, Georgia to the late Jerry Patrick & Annie June Wisham Rogers. He was a heavy equipment operator. He was a Mr. Fix It, he loved working on equipment, vehicles, anything mechanical that needed work. He could diagnose a problem with a vehicle by only listening to it. When he was not working, he was an avid fisherman and faithful member of Ravenscroft Church of God. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Jerry William Rogers and Ricky Patrick Brannen. Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years Cindy Rogers; Children: Linda (Rondell) Ford, Kandy (Ray) Smith, Willie Frank “Bubba” Rogers, Jr., Krystal Reagan, Shannon Sherrell, Brian Day; Grandchildren: Josha Rogers, Miracle Ford, Garrett Smith, Tymia Ford, Meagan Smith, Coby Rogers, Renzell Ford, Caleb Rogers, Emilie Ford, Ryan Adams, Jackson Adams, Izza Day, Jordan Day, Brittany Sherrell, Tiffany Sherrell, Tyler Sherrell, Chris Smith, Michael Smith, Curtis Smith, Natasha Smith, and Carter Smith; Siblings: Shelia Flinchum, Dorothy Craft, Ronnie Foster, Ernie Foster, Albert Foster, Jackie Foster; Special family: Cradis & Marshall Smith, Connie & Ralph Reagan, Allene Boles & Jackie Neal, Larry Johnson, Tamara Adams. Funeral Services for Mr. Billy Joe Maxwell, age 88, of Hilham will be conducted 1 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Rick Cross will officiate. Burial to follow in the Campground Cemetery. Mr. Billy Joe Maxwell passed from this life on Thursday morning, October 31, 2019 from the Overton County Health & Rehab. He was born June 2, 1931 in Overton County, Tennessee to the late J.P. & Ruby Ayers Maxwell. Billy was a member of the Hilham Union Church, and served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. Billy enjoyed woodworking, and was very accomplished at it, where he made many pieces for family, friends, and his church. He also enjoyed bluegrass music, nature watching, feeding birds, and going to church. Billy leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Villa Thompson Maxwell of Hilham; son, Billy Maxwell & wife Louann of Hilham; daughter, Angela Hester of Livingston; 3 grandson, Bradley Gore, Lyndon Johnson, and Justin Maxwell; 2 great-grandsons, Isaiah Johnson, and Elijah Johnson; 2 great-granddaughters, Makiyah Gore, and Malia Gore; brother, Maurice Maxwell of Clinton Township, MI. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his infant son; daughter, Phyllis Maxwell Ledbetter; brother, John Maxwell; and sisters, Blanche Fisk, and Clarice Upton. The family will welcome friends on Sunday evening from 4 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home. Memorial Donations may be made to the Campground Cemetery Fund.

Memorial service for S.T. Nash age 79, of Baxter, will be held on Saturday November 9th from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the Nash Grove Baptist Church. Bro. Gary west will officiate at the service. Mr. Nash was born on October 22, 1939 in Putnam County to the late Lilburn and Ella Dunn Nash. He passed away on Sunday October 20, 2019 at His residence in Baxter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: Wife: Julie Bilyeu and Infant Son: Joey Nash. His family includes 2 Sons and a Daughter in-law: Greg and Kathy Nash of Baxter and Marty Nash of Baxter; 1 Daughter and Son in-law: Donna and Brian Henry of Lenoir City; 2 Sisters: Lila Johnson of Baxter and Mary Ellen Donaldson of Cookeville; 7 Grandchildren: Rebecca Herron, Jaden Nash, Jacie Nash, Erica Nash, Joshua Russell, Jeremy Russell and Chloe Henry; 2 Great Grandchildren: Ella Russell and Kylie Pearce.
