Sandra Bowman, 43, of Sparta, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Nashville. She was born on December 7, 1976 to Raymond Bowman and Rosalie Phillips in Livingston. Survivors include; Daughter- Harley Judkins (Tyler); Mother- Rosalie Phillips (Larry); Father- Raymond Bowman; Sisters- Susan Mabe (Jonathan) and Edna Wilson; Brothers- Lee Wilson (Christy), Steven Wilson, Christopher Wilson and Brandon Wilson (Kara); Grandchildren- Mason and Malachi Judkins. No services are scheduled at this time.
Mr. Edward Rogers, Age 72, of Cookeville passed away Thursday morning February 6, 2020 at Bethesda Health Care And Rehabilitation. Edward was born March 7, 1947 to the late Oscar and orianna Rogers in Dayton, OH. He is survived by one son Sean Rogers of Cookeville; and two daughters Bambi Warren of Nashville and Dawn Rogers of Nashville. No are services are scheduled at this time.
Funeral services for Mrs. Billie W. Spivey, 91, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 P.M. – 8 P.M., and again on Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at her residence. She was born September 12, 1928, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Herman Amos Williford and Lillie Mary Jane Dodson Williford. She was married to the late Ben J. Spivey, who passed away February 2, 2004. She was an accountant at General Telephone Co., a master quilter, and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Naoma Williford and Melissa Williford; 1 Brother: Ralph Williford; and 1 Nephew: Danny Williford. Survivors include 1 Son: Steven B. (Georgia) Spivey of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna (Larry) Lindstrom of Cookeville, TN; 8 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital by contacting the funeral home.
Funeral services for Linda Sue McDaniel, age 75 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 beginning at 10:00 am from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Brother John Herron officiating. Interment will follow in Browns Mill Cemetery in Cookeville. She passed from this life Tuesday, February 4, 2020, She was born Monday, August 21, 1944 in Monterey. She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Emma (Easter) Stamps. Linda is survived by: 2 Daughters: Linda Shannon, Gina Hawke; 1 Sister: Betty Logsdon; 1 Stepdaughter: Angel Smithers; Several grandchildren ,nieces, nephews, and a great grandchild on the way. Princess Diana her loving dog. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Tammy Hawke, 1 Son: Brian Hawke, and eight brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank caregivers Beverly, Melanie, and Ally for their support during this time. Funeral services for Micheal Ray Hood, age 11 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday February 8 at 11 a.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Malcolm Strong will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. Hood passed away Wednesday morning February 5, 2020 at his home. Micheal was a 5th grade student at Prescott Middle School. Micheal’s family will receive friends Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Ray Ann Davis Dunham, age 83 of Sparta, will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, February 8, 2020 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Lost Creek Cemetery. She passed away Monday morning, February 3, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Dunham was born June 13, 1936 in the Lost Creek Community of White County to the late Johnny Ray & Lillie Mae Mitchell Davis. She worked at Mallory Timers for nearly 30 years and was a member of Freewill Baptist Church of Sparta. When she had time, she enjoyed visiting friends and family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her three brothers James Arnold Davis, George Donald Davis and Herbert Paul Davis. Surviving family members include her four children Charles Arnold Dunham, Susan Una Dunham, Greg Noble Dunham and Marsha Dunham Nikahd; Grandchildren: Chad Dunham, Brandy Dunham Titsworth, Hunter Dunham, Chandler Dunham, John Hart, Sarah Hart, Monya Nikahd and Melica Nikahd; Great-grandchildren: Ali Hollandsworth, Colten Dunham, Emma Titsworth, Hudson Titsworth and Wade Dunham. A host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta. She was born on July 29, 1934. Bettye was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Floyd; parents, Riley Odus and Berttie Barker; siblings, James Barker, Lois Barker Taliaferro, and Lester Barker. She is lovingly survived by her sons: Mike Floyd (Joyce) of Sparta and Steven Floyd of Murfreesboro; Grandchildren: Annmarie Floyd Joyce (Michael), Collin Floyd (Chase), Evan Floyd, and Ethan Floyd; Great-Grandchildren: Ansley Joyce, Owen and Elliot Floyd; Sister: Rebecca Barker Adcock. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at noon at the funeral home. She passed from this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Life Care of Sparta. She was born July 11, 1934 in Trenton, Tennessee to the late Robert and Martha Rushing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Martha Rushing; sisters, Nancy L. Rushing and Mary E. Rushing. Survivors include her daughters, Terry Lynn (Gary) Harris and Debbie Ann Ryandski; son, Danny (Bambi) Mingle; brothers, Willow Dean Rushing, Charles D. (Cindy) Rushing; Grandchildren, Jeffery Paoli, Chrystal Harris, Elizabeth (Shawn) Adelabu, Tommy Ryandski, and Jennifer Ryandski. Along with several great-granchildren. Dallas was born on November 12th, 1947 to the late Howard and Jessie Lowe (Miller) in Harlan, KY. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Kay Vance Hayes of Cookeville, TN; Sons-Chuck (Wanda) Hayes, Scott (Sonya) Hayes, Daughter Sonya (Randy) Cooper all of Cookeville; Sisters, Mary and Nellie & Brothers, Tony and Ted; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dallas moved to Michigan at the age of 18 and began a career as a surface grinder for over 17 years and then he and Brenda moved to Clintwood, VA where he worked for over 13 years in the coal mines. Lowe passed into heaven on Thursday, February 6th, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 7th and Saturday, February 8th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Joshua Wayne Trent age 41 of Livingston, will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 3 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. He passed from this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Saint Thomas West in Nashville. Personal Info: Mr. Joshua Wayne Trent was born in Kingsport, on August 30, 1978 to Carolyn Carter and the late Wayne Trent. Many, especially his family and friends, loved Josh and that includes his students over the years. Josh was a band teacher and helped lead a lot of children in music. Josh taught for 13 years in Overton, Clay, and Dekalb County. He was the Uniserve Coordinator with TEA in District eight and was an advocator for and helping surrounding county teachers. Survivors: Mother: Carolyn Carter; 1 Brother: Shane Lavinder; 2 Sisters: Deanna Bishop, Angela Wyman; Special cousin: Preston Light; a host of family and friends also survive. Mr. Wolfenbarger Was A United States Postal Worker In Knoxville, For 38 Years. He Served In The Tennessee National Guard And Was A Member Of Central Baptist Church In Fountain City. He Is Survived By His Daughter And Son-In-Law, Debbie And Bart Byars Of Monterey; Son, David Wolfenbarger Of Savannah, GA; 3 Grandchildren, Dustin (Heather) Shultz, Cari (Tyler) Dick And Courtney Callahan; And 4 Great Grandchildren, Emalee, Turner, Landon And Dylan. He passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020, peacefully in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loved ones. Tony loved fishing, hunting, farming, working in his garden, and sharing the fruits of his labor with others. Even though Matilta was mean, he loved his cow. He was an active member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Tony and Florence Jellinich; Brother, Richard; Son, Richard; and Great-Grandson, Blake.
