The annual spring Drug Take Back program happens Saturday across the Upper Cumberland, giving residents the chance to dispose of prescription medications.
More than 300 tons of medications were collected nationwide at last fall’s event. Organizers say the event gets medications off the street, cutting down on potential crimes. The collection also protects the environment by keeping the medications out of landfills.
