Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident on I-40 in Putnam County Wednesday evening.
37-year-old Brandon S. Barnett of Piney Flatt was driving in 2007 Peterbilt Commercial Tractor with 39-year-old Jennifer L. Barnett of Roan Mountain in the right lane on I-40. Barnett said that due to equipment failure, he lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the roadway where the vehicle struck a ditch.
Both driver and passenger sustained minor injuries.
